JACKSON, Mo. -- William Lowell Summers, 85, of Jackson died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at Monticello House.
He was born July 10, 1916, at Bell City, Mo., son of William Oliver and Emma Winkleman Summers.
Summers had been a barber, and had worked on the assembly line at General Tire Co. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of Lakeville Lodge 489 at Bell City.
He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, Mo., after 9 a.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel. Burial will be in Bell City Cemetery.
