PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- William Joseph Staffen, 76, of Perryville, Mo., formerly of Farmington, Mo., died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004.
He was born Dec. 7, 1927, at Libertyville, Mo., son of the late Eddie and Rose Steffan Staffen.
Staffen served in the U.S. Army in World War II. He owned and operated D and B Concrete Finishers and worked throughout the state of Missouri for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Hail Staffen; two sons, William Staffen Jr. of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., and Dennis Staffen of St. Mary's, Mo.; two daughters, Bonnie Keir and Sally Roth of Ste. Genevieve; three stepdaughters, Pamela Laws and Paula Gutierrez of California and Trish Thomas of Ohio; a brother, Gene Staffen of Ste. Genevieve; three sisters, Katherine Kennon of Farmington, Eleanor Porter of Ste. Genevieve and Edna Hahn of Coffman, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Tuesday after 5 p.m. and Wednesday from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at the Cozean Chapel in Farmington. Funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the chapel. The Rev. Donn Adamson will officiate, with burial in Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington.
