William R. "Bill" Siemers, 84, of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, at the Lutheran Home. He was born Oct. 7, 1922, in Gordonville, son of the late Alvin and Eula O'Neil Siemers. He and Irene Masters were married April 6, 1947, at Hanover Lutheran Church. She passed away June 19, 2002...

William R. "Bill" Siemers, 84, of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, at the Lutheran Home.

He was born Oct. 7, 1922, in Gordonville, son of the late Alvin and Eula O'Neil Siemers. He and Irene Masters were married April 6, 1947, at Hanover Lutheran Church. She passed away June 19, 2002.

In addition to farming many years south of Gordonville, he was a distributor 47 years for Phillips 66 Petroleum Products and also worked for Sunoco Oil Co. in Cape Girardeau.

Bill had been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau since 1947. He was a faithful member serving as former chairman of the Board of Elders, former member of the Board of Stewards, former president of the men's club, and participating in dart ball.

He especially enjoyed training and showing Tennessee Walking horses and was former president of Southeast Missouri Beagle Club.

Loving survivors include a son, Terry (Linda) Siemers of Bartlesville, Okla.; a daughter, June (the late Jim) Seabaugh of Jackson; four grandsons, Craig (Kay) Riek, Curt (Maghen) Riek, all of St. Louis, Aaron (Emily) Siemers of Edmond, Okla., Micah (Katie) Siemers of Owasso, Okla.; and five great-grandchildren, Madison, Macy, Abbi, and Cooper Riek, and Kael Siemers.

Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Nathan Burgell officiating. Burial will follow in Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Living Hope at Trinity Lutheran Church, the American Diabetes Association, or the charity of your choice.
