William "Bill" Lee Ruiz, 63, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, June 3, 2024, peacefully at his home.
He was born Nov. 12, 1960, in St. Louis to Gary and Elaine Anderson Ruiz.
Bill was a licensed practical nurse for 33 years, specializing in long-term care for the elderly. If a person had or has a loved one in a care facility, Bill was the kind of nurse families pray to have.
Survivors include his parents; sister, Deborah (Bill) Kasting; brother, Ken Ruiz; and four nieces and nephews, Shannon (Denny) Thompson, Todd Rose, Jeremy Ruiz and Meagen (Jon) Kessler. Bill is also survived by numerous great-nieces and -nephews.
The family wishes services to be private, but appreciates the thoughts and prayers expressed by the community.
