PULASKI, Ill. -- William Austin Robinson, 85, of Pulaski died Monday, April 15, 2002, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, Ill.
He was born Nov. 19, 1916, at Villa Ridge, Ill., son of William and Alice Robinson. He and Priscilla Louise Morgan were married May 9, 1936, at Mound City, Ill.
Robinson worked for the Meridian School District as a bus driver and custodian for 30 years until his retirement in 1982. He was also a farmer and a member of Pryor Memorial Temple, C.O.G.I.C.
Survivors include five sons, Kenneth Robinson of Jackson, Mich., Donald Robinson of Grand Rapids, Mich., Odtis Robinson of Lansing, Mich., Carl Robinson of Villa Ridge and Tyler Banks of Tamms, Ill.; eight daughters, Alice Fountain of Lansing, Barbara Beamon of East St. Louis, Ill., Brenda Mae Brown of Detroit, Mich., Nora Jones of Decatur, Ill., Sandra Ballard of Joliet, Ill., Hattie Adkinson of Pulaski and Marcy LaGrone of Mounds, Ill.; two grandsons; 64 grandchildren; 87 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the Bethel Temple Church of God in Christ in Mounds, Ill., with Oscar L. Burtley Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge.
Algee's Funeral Home in Carbondale is in charge of arrangements.
