DEXTER -- William R. Emery, 84, of Pontiac, Mich., died Friday, March 3, 1995, at North Oakland Medical Center in Pontiac. He was born Feb. 23, 1911, in Arkansas, son of George and Sarah Marie Phillips Emery. He married Madge Hancock. Emery was reared in Southeast Missouri, but had lived in Michigan a number of years. DEXTER -- William R. Emery, 84, of Pontiac, Mich., died Friday, March 3, 1995, at North Oakland Medical Center in Pontiac.

He was born Feb. 23, 1911, in Arkansas, son of George and Sarah Marie Phillips Emery. He married Madge Hancock.

Emery was reared in Southeast Missouri, but had lived in Michigan a number of years. He was a member of Lakecrest Baptist Church and the Holly Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Roy and Charles Emery of Colorado, George Emery of Waterford, Mich.; a daughter, Ruby Nichols of Waterford; two sisters, Lois Woodruff of Flint, Mich., Georgia Brundage of New York; 12 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 10 a.m. Thursday.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Dudley Cemetery.
