COMMERCE -- William P. Beardslee, 74, of Commerce, died Monday, Jan. 13, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Jan. 14, 1917, at Glen Allen, son of Charles M. and Lula B. Rowland Beardslee. He and Katherine Pobst were married July 18, 1942, at Commerce.
Beardslee was a retired self-employed farmer. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge 184 AF&AM at Morley, Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association, Purchase District Horseman's Association, and Missouri Racking Horse Association.
Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Kay Allen of Benton, Fay Weber of Jackson, Finae Shoaf of Morley, Carla Tilley of Cape Girardeau, Karma Beardslee of Scott City; two brothers, Charles Beardslee of Cape Girardeau, John Beardslee of Hillsboro; a sister, Elizabeth Gray of Kimberling City, and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Church. The Rev. Bruce Edwards will officiate, with burial in Oakdale Cemetery.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City after 4 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7:30.
