William Needham

William H. "Bill" Needham, 83, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015, at the Missouri Veterans Home.

He was born March 26, 1932, in Ullin, Illinois, to Clifford Earl and Minnie Rose Carter Needham.

Bill was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Navy.

He was first married to the former Marilyn Peeler and later married Delores Galloway on Aug. 15, 1975, in Cape Girardeau. She passed away March 21, 2011.

Bill was the owner and operator of Bill Needham Designs for over 30 years; he retired in 2011.

Survivors include his first wife, Marilyn Peeler Needham of East Cape Girardeau, Illinois; a son, Gregory A. (Lisa) Needham of Dongola, Illinois; two daughters, Cindy Letgrate of Cape Girardeau and Cheryl A. (Larry) Noel of Cape Girardeau; a stepdaughter, Lisa L. Jackson of Minneapolis; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum, with full military honors by the Missouri Honors Team.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Missouri Veterans Home or the Alzheimer's Association.
