William Nattier, a 75-year-old Army veteran and former truck driver, passed away Sept. 3, 2024, in Perkins. He is survived by his wife, Jean Ann, five children, 10 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

PERKINS — William "Bill" Edward Nattier, son of Floyd Everett and Almeda Sherrill Nattier, was born July 17, 1949, in Patoka, Illinois, and departed his life Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024, at his home in Perkins at the age of 75 years.

He was a former truck driver for Stock Transport in Lebanon, Illinois. He was of the Baptist faith.

Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the 5th Special Forces from 1967 to 1970.

On Dec. 31, 1995, he was united in marriage to Jean Ann Shipley-Reynolds in Benton. She survivors of the home in Perkins.

Besides his wife, survivors include four sons, Steve (Cathy) Nattier of Central City, Illinois, Greg (Sara) Nattier of Hoyleton, Illinois, Stacy (Stephanie) Nattier of Huffman, Illinois, and Justin (Wendy) Reynolds of Perkins; one daughter, Sarah Reynolds of Perkins; 10 grandchildren, Brittanie, Abigail Lee, Sidney Grace, Damien, Sophia Ann, Braxton, Shelby Lynn, Alyssa, Madison and Thomas; one great-granddaughter, Esley Mae; and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 7, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Funeral service will be at noon Saturday, Sept. 7, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Williams Cemetery.
