THEBES, Ill. — William "Bill" Morgan, 71, of Thebes, formerly of St. Louis, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born April 25, 1937, in Wickliffe, Ky., son of Walter Davis and Zada Jones Morgan. He and Dorothy Taylor were married July 2, 1954...

THEBES, Ill. — William "Bill" Morgan, 71, of Thebes, formerly of St. Louis, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 25, 1937, in Wickliffe, Ky., son of Walter Davis and Zada Jones Morgan. He and Dorothy Taylor were married July 2, 1954.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Dorothy Carey of Franklin, N.H., April Hays of Elsberry, Mo., Rene Roubidoux of St. Louis; two sons, Dennis Morgan of St. Louis, Russell Morgan of Thebes; a sister, Emily Morgan of Olive Branch, Ill.; 28 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and a daughter.

There is no visitation or service.

Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
