MORLEY, Mo. -- Funeral for William Edward Loughnane of Morley will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton, Mo. The Rev. Daniel H. Stevens will officiate. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee, Mo.
Friends may call at the chapel Saturday from noon until service time.
Loughnane, 81, died Monday, April 9, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 15, 1919, in Cleveland, Ohio, son of Thomas Edward and Mabel H. Kingsbury Loughnane. He and Margaret Leslie McGinley were married in 1947. She died March 5, 1992.
Loughnane was a retired colonel in the U.S. Air Force, and served during World War II and the Korean War. He later was a mechanical engineer with aircraft companies. He was a member of NRA.
He moved to Morley in 1998 from Grants, N.M.
Survivors include a son, Jeffery Black of Reno, Nev.; two daughters, Leslie Stevens of Benton, Lea Anne Quint of Fort Collins, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson.
