DUDLEY -- Funeral for William J. Lau of Green Cove Springs, Fla., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. T.L. Jarrell and the Rev. Bud Meadows will officiate. Burial will be in Dudley Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Friday.

Lau, 73, died Monday, April 3, 2000, at Integrated Health Service Care Center in Orange Park, Fla.

He was born June 23, 1926, in Reading, Pa., son of John H. and Jennie B. Nikola Lau. He and Mary B. Barber Killian were married Dec. 7, 1990, in Green Cove Springs.

Lau was a retired security guard. He lived in Florida, then at Dudley two years, and returned to Florida in 1993.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jimmie and Terry Lau of Pennsylvania; two stepsons, William Hancock of Orange Park, Edgar Hancock of Dudley; three stepdaughters, Mary Harrington of Flint, Mich., Joyce Slinkard of Sedgewickville, Patsy Ashton of Sugar Land, Texas; three grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren.
