William Leo Killian, 55, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, at Charleston General Hospital in Charleston, W.Va.

He was born June 26, 1946, in Harrisburg, Pa., son of Jack and Pauline Burns Killian. He and Elizabeth Brannock were married April 30, 1965, in Bethesda, Md. She died April 8, 2000.

Killian grew up in Harrisburg, moving to Cape Girardeau in 1984 from Philadelphia, Pa. He was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and was a board certified licensed pedortist.

For the past 14 years he worked for Orthopaedic Associates. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, VFW Post 3838, Knights of Columbus Council 1111, and served on the advisory board of Johnson and Johnson Pharmaceutical.

Killian served in the U.S. Navy from July 8, 1964, to April 30, 1984.

Survivors include two sons, John Killian of Chaffee, Mo., Michael Killian of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Diana Wahl of St. Louis; a brother, Charles Killian of Harrisburg; a sister, Cheryl Good of Hummelstown, Pa.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Friday. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m., followed by Knights of Columbus rosary.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Charles Prost officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, with military graveside service by VFW Post 3838.
