WILLIAM J. ROBINSON

PATTON -- William J. "Bill" Robinson, 78, of Patton died Friday, July 23, 1999, at his home.

He was born Feb. 24, 1921, at Patton, son of Elmer C. and Odessa C. Doggett Robinson. He married Valetta G. Heitman Oct. 20, 1945. She survives.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was owner of the Robinson Grocery Store in Patton for more than 40 years. He was president of the Bollinger County Livestock Producers Association for many years and was a lifetime member of the American Legion. He also was a member of the Patton Presbyterian Church.

Survivors also include a son, Richard Robinson of Webster Groves; a daughter, Kathy Berkbigler of Patton; a sister, Helen Johnson of St. Louis; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a son.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Julius Mills officiating.

Burial will be at the Patton Cemetery.
