William Howell

ZALMA, Mo. -- William Lloyd Howell, 69, of Zalma was born July 11, 1937, at Chaffee, Mo., the son of William and Lucy Smith Howell, and passed away July 4, 2007, at his home.

Bill retired from Asa Asphalt in Advance, Mo., where he was a truck driver.

Survivors include his fiancee, Jean Tucker of Zalma; her children, Billy Tucker of Waynesville, Mo., Tommy Tucker of Jackson, Jerry Tucker of Puxico, Mo., Mary Slinkard of Peotone, Ill., Stacy Cantrell of Advance; a sister, Irene Gill of Cape Girardeau; two nephews, Steve Gill of St. Louis, Brian Gill of Benton, Mo.; a niece, Kelley Gill of Sikeston, Mo.; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. LeeRoy Hefner officiating. Burial will be in Balch Cemetery near Zalma.
