Funeral service for William Harmon, 7 North Park, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Fairview General Baptist Church near Arbor. The Rev. Lester Dale will officiate, with burial in Fairview Cemetery.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 4-8 p.m. today, and at the church from 9 a.m. to service time.

Harmon, 83, died Monday, Nov. 9, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born March 21, 1909, at Vanduser, son of William and Hattie Huffman Harmon. He and Lucy Ward were married March 17, 1939, at Jackson.

Harmon was a mechanic at Wiethop Truck Sales more than 20 years. He was a member of Fairview Church, and Horseshoe Lake Fishing Club of Olive Branch, Ill.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Thelma Wallace of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Ross Harmon of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Anna Sledge of Cape Girardeau, Thelma Moore of Kelso, Lucille Hertel of Scott City; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
