WILLIAM GREER

WILSON CITY -- William T. Greer, 67, of Wilson City died Thursday, Sept. 10, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Feb. 3, 1931, in Philippi, Tenn., son of Elvin and Catherine Dunlow Greer. He and Gerline Treadwell were married in 1951.

Survivors include his wife; five sons, Freddie, Jimmie and Melvin Greer of Wilson City, Thomas Greer of Sarasota, Fla., Michael Greer of Farmington; seven daughters, Shirley Lindell of Wyatt, Etta, Patrica and Marylin Greer of Wilson City, Lovey Greer of Lansing, Mich., Corene Greer and Delores Bogan of Charleston.

Also surviving are three brothers, Wardell Greer of Cairo, Ill., Earnest and Paul Greer of Paducah, Ky.; two sisters, Helen Douglas of Charleston, Wilella Flowers of Cairo; 20 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ at Wyatt. Pastor L.D. Pulliam will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.

Friends may call at the church from 1 p.m. to service time.
