William "Bill" Gosche, 74, of Jackson died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023, at his home.
He was born May 3, 1949, in Cape Girardeau to John and Almarette Leible Gosche
He graduated from Southeast Missouri State University. He was a lifetime Redhawks fan and supporter of SEMO Athletics.
Bill began his career at Wiethop Truck and Trailer Sales, working for more than 42 years and retiring as president.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge in Jackson.
Bill was an avid golfer. He was a wonderful father and true comfort to his daughter throughout her cancer journey and will be forever missed by his favorite daughter.
Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Gosche of St. Peters, Missouri; cousins, Jeanne (David) Holstein of Cape Girardeau; Rodney (Nancy) Cox of Nashville, Tennessee; Randy Cox and Janet (Jerry) Hahn, both of Kelso, Missouri; Judy Bane of Cape Girardeau; Sue (Mike) Sweeney and Kathy (Scott) Wright, both of St. Charles, Missouri; Marlene (Bob) Bell of New Hamburg, Missouri; Ron (Linda) Gosche and Jim (Mary) Gosche, both of Cape Girardeau; and Donna (Tom) Anderson of Scott City.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson,with parish prayers at 7 p.m. and Elks Lodge service at 7::30 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
