PERRYVILLE -- William Franklin "Bill" Hamlin, 74, of Perryville, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was the son of Frank and Ollie Taylor Hamlin. PERRYVILLE -- William Franklin "Bill" Hamlin, 74, of Perryville, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was the son of Frank and Ollie Taylor Hamlin. He and E. Phyllis Barber were married May 21, 1970.

Hamlin was a retired carpenter with Hamlin Construction Co. here. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and St. Marys Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Frank of Perryville, Ralph and Jim of St. Louis; a daughter, Mary of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Weldon Hamlin of Jackson; a sister, Lola Bolen of Germantown, Md.; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and sister.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Fred Shrum will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 tonight, and 6:30-10 a.m. Friday. A Masonic wake service will be held at 7:30 tonight.
