WILLIAM F. FURGERSON

EAST PRAIRIE -- William Frank Furgerson, 87, of East Prairie, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born July 11, 1905, in Mississippi County, son of Jim and Cynthia Furgerson. He and Annie Addline Newman were married May 31, 1936.

Furgerson was a retired construction worker, and member of St. James General Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Manuel Furgerson of Lorain, Ohio, George, Charles and Bill Furgerson of East Prairie; a brother, Tom Furgerson of John Day, Ore., two half brothers, Chester Furgerson of East Prairie, Richard Furgerson of St. Louis; a half sister, Martha Davis of East Prairie; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Shelby Funeral Chapel. The Rev. David Dowdy will officiate, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday.
