JACKSON -- William Dale Englehart, 69, of Mehlville died Sunday, Nov. 24, 1996, at his home.
He was born Dec. 18, 1926, at Fruitland, son of William Herbert and Agnes Bandy Englehart. He and Carol Austin were married Nov. 9, 1946, in Cape Girardeau.
Englehart was an elementary teacher and principal at Egypt Mills, Indian Creek, Shepherd and Pocahontas schools, and then was elementary principal at Jackson R-2 Schools five years.
From 1960-90 he was a sales representative with American Book Co. and McMillan Book Co. While in Jackson he was a member of American Legion and Jackson Jaycees. He was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in St. Louis County.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Edward Englehart of Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter, Kay Schwarz of Mehlville; two brothers, Robert Englehart of O'Fallon, James Englehart of Jackson; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at Kutis Funeral Home in South County from 4-9 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Luke Church, with burial in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
