WILLIAM EARNHART

DONGOLA, Ill. -- William Harold Earnhart, 60, of Portage, Ind., formerly of Dongola, died Sunday, June 9, 1996, at Mary Bartz Hospice Center in Valparaiso, Ind.

He was born July 24, 1935, in Anna, son of Otto and Ruby Duncan Earnhart. He and Betty Joyce Nelson were married Feb. 23, 1993.

Earnhart attended Dongola High School. He was retired from C.J. Langenfelder, where he was an operating engineer 32 years. He attended Portage First Church of the Nazarene, was a member of Operating Engineers 150 and Dongola Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife; two stepdaughters, Holly Parod of Rockford, Heidi Nelson of Bloomington; his mother of Portage, and a sister, Dorothy Mueller of Valparaiso.

He was preceded in death by his father and his first wife Lela.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, and Friday until service time.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial in Jonesboro Cemetery.
