William B. Eagle, 71, of 1426 N. Clark St. died Saturday, June 5, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Oct. 19, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, son of Leslie G. and Philomene Nenninger Eagle. He married Helen Elaine Lewis May 21, 1955, in Mexico, Mo. She survives.
He also is survived by an aunt and cousins.
He was in the U.S. Army in World War II and served with the U.S. Army Band while stationed in Alaska. He was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University.
He was a commercial building inspector, working for the Missouri Inspection Bureau in St. Louis. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Cape Girardeau, a life member of the Knights of Columbus and was a charter member and past president of the Greater Cape Girardeau Historical Association.
He was a member of Catholic faith.
No services will be held.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
