JONESBORO, Ill. -- Graveside service for William Everett Willyerd of Jonesboro will be held at 1 p.m. today at Jonesboro Cemetery, with Jack Musgrave officiating.
Friends may call at Norris and Son Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to service time.
Willyerd, 96, died Sunday, May 1, 1994, at Jackson County Nursing Home in Murphysboro.
He was born March 19, 1898, in Arkansas, son of Albert and Martha Miller Willyerd. He and Lorene Samples were married in 1927.
Willyerd had owned and operated Willyerd's Market here.
Survivors include a daughter, Doris Batson of Jonesboro; a son, James "Bud" Willyerd of Jonesboro; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, two sons, two brothers and a sister.
