William E. Ingram Sr., 57, of Lexington, Ky., died Monday, April 15, 1996, at his home.

He was born Oct. 18, 1938, in Whitesburg, Ky., son of Ell and Celestie Sheppard Ingram.

He was employed as a bus driver for the Lextran Co. in Lexington. He was a veteran of the Army.

Survivors are his mother, Celestie Smith of Lexington, Ky.; a son, William E. Ingram Jr. of Cape Girardeau; five brothers, John L. Smith of Knoxville, Tenn., Joseph Smith of Tazwell, Tenn., Oscar and Estill Smith, both of Lexington, Ky., and Paul Smith of Bourbon County, Ky.; five sisters, Loretta Ingram, Elizabeth Sue Scarborough and Patrisha Thompson, all of Lexington, Ky., Mary Cornett of Linefork, Ky., and Linda Fitch of Newport, Ky.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
