William Leroy Duckett, 69, of Bowling Green, Ky., died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Nov. 20, 1938, in Richardsville, Ky., son of the late Roy D. and Margery Miller Duckett.
Duckett was a 1957 graduate of Richardsville High School. He farmed and worked in construction before moving to Chicago.
He later moved to Cape Girardeau where he worked 33 years at Southeast Missouri Stone Co., retiring in 2004. In 2006 he moved back to Richardsville.
Survivors include a daughter, Maureen Richards and husband Shane, and a grandson, William Richards, all of Oak Ridge; four sisters, Shirley Duckett, Carolyn O'Toole and husband William, Alesia Chaffin and husband Steve, all of Richardsville, Kathy Ross and husband Louis of Pittsburgh; a brother, Wendell Duckett of Richardsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to service time Saturday at Hardy and Son Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green River Union Cemetery.
