William M. "Bill" Cooper, 66, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at his residence. He was born Sept. 21, 1937, at St. Louis, son of Maurice Cooper and Ann Reed. Cooper was employed as a janitor for Southeast Missouri State University for 21 years. ...

William M. "Bill" Cooper, 66, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 21, 1937, at St. Louis, son of Maurice Cooper and Ann Reed.

Cooper was employed as a janitor for Southeast Missouri State University for 21 years. He also worked part time at the Gibson Center in Cape Girardeau and was a member of the Eagles. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and a graduate of Central High School in Cape Girardeau. Cooper attended Southeast Missouri State.

Survivors include his mother; a son, David Cooper of Millstadt, Ill.; four daughters, Lisa Nichols of Tulsa, Okla., Sue Parrent of Eddyville, Ky., Carole Eli of Hopkinsville, Ky., and Sharon Denich of Fenton, Mo.; three brothers, Michael and James O'Connell of Cape Girardeau and Jerry O'Connell Geolat of Bonne Terre, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.

Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
