SIKESTON -- William Calvin Stovall, 71, of Sikeston died Friday, Sept. 5, 1997, at Clearview Nursing Center.
He was born April 25, 1926, at Bell City, son of William "George" Stovall and Adelia Sadie Smith Stovall.
He married Ruby Lee Potter Jan. 7, 1949, at Bell City.
He was a member of the House of Prayer General Baptist Church. He was a maintenance worker for the City of Sikeston.
Survivors include his wife, of Sikeston; sons, Wayne Stovall of Millington, Tenn., and Dale Stovall of Sikeston; a daughter, Diana Traw of Sikeston; a brother, Raymond Stovall of Bell City; sisters, Cleo Newton of Perkins, Ellen Watkins and Clara June Cockrell, both of Bell City, Lucille James of Sikeston and Katy Watkins of Essex; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Service will be held at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston at 2 p.m. today, with the Rev. Bob Burnes officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories at Sikeston.
