BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for William C. Massey of Bloomfield was held Saturday at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Harold Ferrell officiated, with burial in Walker Cemetery near here.
Massey, 91, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 1992, at his home.
He was born Dec. 29, 1900, in Dekalb, Miss., son of William and Vallie Jackson Massey. He and Edith Henley were married Sept. 13, 1927.
Massey had lived in this area since 1952.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, William Jr. and Larry Massey of Bloomfield, Johnny Massey of Grandbury, Texas; two daughters, Phyllis King of O'Fallon, Vickie Moore of Albion, Mich.; three brothers, Alton, Irvin and Cecil Massey of Meridian, Miss.; 13 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
