ST. MARY -- William H. Brooks, 64, of St. Mary died on Saturday, June 27, 1998, at Perry Oaks Healthcare in Perryville.

He was born Dec. 20, 1933, at Richfountain, son of Arthur and Opal Land Brooks. He and Ruth Braden were married Dec. 20, 1950.

He was a retired machinist with Nixdorff in St. Louis.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, William Dennis, Roy I., Terry L. and William Joe Brooks, all of St. Mary; two daughters, Karen "Susie" Leadbetter of St. Mary and Lisa M. Brooks of High Ridge; three brothers, James Brooks of Palatka, Fla., and Albert and Donnie Brooks, both of St. Louis; three sisters, Dorothy Wheeler of Doniphan, and Irma Pendley and Barbara Brooks, both of St. Louis; and eight grandchildren.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 6 to 9 p.m. today and at Britten Funeral Home in Steelville from noon to 1 Tuesday.

Funeral will be at 1 Tuesday at Britten Home. Burial will be in Davisville Cemetery in Steelville.
