PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- William C. Braddy Sr., 68, of Perryville died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 27, 1932, in Holcomb, Mo., son of William and Mittie Hipps Braddy. He and Betty Jean Stokes were married March 6, 1964, in St. Louis. She died Feb. 12, 2000.
Braddy was retired from General Motors Corp. He was a Baptist and a member of the United Auto Workers.
Survivors include two sons, William C. Braddy Jr. and Robert E. Braddy, both of Perryville; a daughter, Tina Y. Arnett of Perryville; a stepson, Charles P. James of Perryville; a stepdaughter, Teresa Smith of Kennett, Mo., a brother, James A. Braddy of Sedgewickville, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 6:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Joe Choka will officiate, with burial in Home Cemetery in Perryville.
