William "Bill" Frayser, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, March 11, 2017, at his home.
He was born Dec. 19, 1935, in Bird's Point, Missouri, to Eugene C. and Irene Stroud Frayser. He and Patricia Wright were married April 10, 1954, at Hernando, Mississippi.
Bill formerly worked for French Implement in Charleston, Missouri. He was an electrician and was associated with IBEW Local 701. He retired from Southeast Missouri State University in 2000 after 14 years as an electrical consultant.
He was a member of Old St. Vincent's Catholic Church and previously belonged to St. Henry's Parish in Charleston.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Frayser of Cape Girardeau; five sons, Chris (Nancy) Frayser of Lexington Park, Maryland, Brad (Kim) Frayser of Burke, Virginia, Ken (Lisa) Frayser of Cape Girardeau, Greg (Marian) Frayser of Longview, Texas, and Bryan Frayser of Abilene, Kansas; two brothers, Tom Frayser of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Ron Frayser of Westfield, Ohio; one sister, Laura Jean Affsprung of Wood River, Illinois; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul Frayser; and daughter-in-law, Terri Sue Springs Frayser.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Old St. Vincent's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, Southeast Cancer Center or Southeast Hospice.
