SIKESTON -- William A. Kitchen, 82, of Morehouse, Mo., died Saturday, July 31, 1993, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 22, 1910, at Portageville, Mo., son of William Dolphus and Oma Jane Blevins Kitchen.

He married Laura M. Brown, May 21, 1929. She died July 3, 1984.

Kitchen was a fireman at the power plant of Himmelberger-Harrison Manufacturing Company in Morehouse, Mo., for many years.

Survivors include four sons, Billy Kitchen of Rome, Ga., Harold Kitchen of Conroe, Texas, Donald Kitchen of Morehouse, Mo., Herbert Kitchen of Sikeston; two daughters, Betty McNew of Morehouse, Mo., Diana Wilson of Sikeston; two brothers, Sherman Kitchen (address unknown), Lyndell Kitchen of Grand Pass, Wash.; a sister, Lydia Kitchen (address unknown); 28 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter and a great-granddaughter.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Oneness Pentecostal Church in Morehouse, Mo., with the Rev. Jimmy Vent officiating.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
