SIKESTON -- Willard I. McDaniel, 80, of Sikeston died Tuesday, July 20, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 27, 1918, at Bertrand, son of Albert and Carrie Furlong McDaniel. He and Wanda Hinton were married Nov. 27, 1940.
McDaniel retired from McMullin Asphalt, and later opened a repair shop at his home. He attended East Side Nazarene Church.
He served with the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Roger McDaniel of Grand Lake, Colo.; a daughter, Carol Newman of Joliet, Ill.; two sisters, Ercie Limbaugh of Sikeston, Evelyn McCoy of Sacramento, Calif.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two grandsons and two brothers.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Preston Palmer will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery with military graveside rites.
