Willa Zimnmerman

Willa Lee Zimmerman, 85, of Scott City died Monday, Sept. 12, 2022, at her home.

She was born Jan. 3, 1937, in Delta to Freeman and Eloise Valerie Deweese Swindell. She married Lloyd Eugene Zimmerman on April 7, 1956, and he preceded her in death Dec. 27, 2004.

She lived a simple life. Some of her greatest memories were visiting with family and friends. She liked antiquing with her sister, Soundra. She had a vast collection of vintage salt and pepper shakers. Her favorite snack was Butterfingers and Strawberry Crush soda.

Willa is survived by a son, Daniel Zimmerman of Scott City; a granddaughter, Victoria Beachler; two great-granddaughters, Della and Amelia; two brothers, John and Mark Zimmerman; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael Zimmerman; a sister, Soundra Eifert; and two brothers, Jimmy and Kenny Zimmerman.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Assembly of God Church in Scott City, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating.
