FARGO, N.D. -- Willa Mae Leher, 78, of Fargo, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, May 9, 1996, in Fargo.
She was born Oct. 5, 1917, in Allenville, the daughter of Albert Theodore and Loula Etta Gass Looney. She married Walter G. Leher in Cape Girardeau. He died Sept. 7, 1970.
Leher was a graduate of Delta High School and Southeast Missouri State Teachers College. She taught business courses at St. Anthony's High School in Effingham, Ill., for 25 years. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. Paul Leher of Springfield, Ohio, and Dr. George Leher of Fargo; two sisters, Eloide Newson and Carrie Dyson, both of Georgetown, Texas; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Friends may call from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
