CAIRO, Ill. -- Will Cummins, 83, of Collierville, Tenn., formerly of Cairo, died Wednesday, July 7, 1993, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was born Oct. 16, 1909, in Corning, Ark., son of Felix and Edna Oliver Cummins. Cummins was a retired engineer with Federal Barge Line, and member of American Legion. CAIRO, Ill. -- Will Cummins, 83, of Collierville, Tenn., formerly of Cairo, died Wednesday, July 7, 1993, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

He was born Oct. 16, 1909, in Corning, Ark., son of Felix and Edna Oliver Cummins.

Cummins was a retired engineer with Federal Barge Line, and member of American Legion. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Cummins of Jackson, Jim Cummins of Conyers, Ga.; a daughter, Ruth Ice of Collierville; two sisters, Katie Bagby of Wickliffe, Ky., Della Volkel of Hackett, Ark., and five grandchildren.

His wife, Mae Ella, died in 1992.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Barkett Funeral Chapel in Cairo. The Rev. Larry L. Potts will officiate, with burial in U.S. National Cemetery at Mound City.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Sunday.
