WILHELMINA C. CLIFTON

PERRYVILLE -- Wilhelmina C. Clifton, 83, of Perryville died Friday, Oct. 24, 1997, at the Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born Sept. 6, 1914, near Apple Creek, the daughter of Martin and Anna Schneier Unterreiner. She married Bernard L. Clifton on April 20, 1940. He died June 23, 1992.

She was a housewife and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church and Ladies Sodality.

She is survived by four daughters, Helen A. Cissell and Barbara M. Ernst, both of Perryville, Catherine M. Brockmann of St. Louis and Julia E. Clifton of Pena Blanca, N.M.; two sons, Bernard M. Clifton and Russell P. Clifton, both of Perryville; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers, a sister and two granddaughters.

Friends may call at Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville between 3 and 9 p.m. today or between 6:30 and 9:40 a.m. Monday. A Catholic and Ladies Sodality wake will be held at 7 tonight.

A Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.

Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate.
