Whitley Keith Dabbs, 28, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, in Jackson.
He was born May 26, 1988, in Cape Girardeau to David Keith Dabbs and Tamara Lynn Welker.
Whitley enjoyed cooking, both at home and work. He loved music, especially playing guitar. Throughout the years, he was a member of many bands, most recently playing in the band Beef. Besides his love of music, he also enjoyed travel, exploring and his dog.
He is survived by his father, David (Tammy) Dabbs of Jackson; his mother, Tamara Baker of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Haley Dabbs, Hadley Bowen and Tasha Matty; three brothers, Braeden Bowen and Dustin and Brandon Matty; his paternal grandmother, Edna Wren; maternal grandmother, Claudia Higgenbotham; maternal grandfather, Tony Welker; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charlie Wren.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Chris Clifton officiating. Interment will be at New Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be made to Crain Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
