SIKESTON -- Wesley Sander, 94, of Sikeston died Thursday, Dec. 29, 1994, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born Dec. 16, 1900, in Tilsit to the late Frank J. and Martha Bartels Sander.
In 1922 he married Linda Macke, who preceded him in death in 1982.
Sander was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and worked as a teacher in Southeast Missouri. He also worked at the Missouri Division of Employment Security for 24 years. He retired from the division as manager of the Kennett office.
He was a member of the Wesley Methodist Church of Sikeston, Masonic Lodge 68 in Kennett and the Missouri Association of Retired Employees.
He is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Johnson of Sikeston; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 1:30 p.m. at the Ponder Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, with the Rev. Jerry Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
