SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Wesley "Bobe" Hodges of Sikeston will be held at 11 a.m. today at Ponder Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jerry Reynolds will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Hodges, 87, died Monday, Sept. 11, 1995, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews.
He was born Jan. 16, 1908, in Walker, Ark., son of James S. and Mary Arnold Hodges. He and Bertha Stacy were married May 2, 1929.
Hodges was a self-employed farmer, and had been a member of Little Vine Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, James "Sonny" Hodges of Matthews, Harold Hodges of St. Louis, Dale Hodges of Okawville, Ill.; two brothers, Jim Hodges of East Prairie, Bill Hodges of Scott City; four sisters, Sadie Patterson of Sikeston, Gertrude Wilkinson of Cape Girardeau, Mary Gross of Fenton, Betty McGregor of Scott City; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
