WOLF LAKE, Ill. -- Funeral for Wesley Alan Davis of Wolf Lake will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro. The Rev. Raymond Oxford will officiate, with burial in St. John's Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.

Davis, 37, died Thursday, July 16, 1998, in Union County.

He was born Nov. 16, 1960, at Harvey, son of Cletus R. and Audrey Goodman Davis. He and Shavonna Wright were married May 19, 1985, in Union County.

Davis had been foreman at Anna Nursery the past 14 years. He was assistant fire chief of Ware-Wolf Lake Fire Protection District, and a member of First Baptist Church in Jonesboro.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Aaron Ross of Wolf Lake, Jonathan of Jonesboro; a stepson, Bobby Henderson of Olive Branch; his mother of Jonesboro; two brothers, Rickie Davis of Virginia Beach, Va., Jeffery Wade of Lafayette, Ind.; a sister, Wanda Davis of Anna; maternal grandmother, Wanda Goodman, and paternal grandmother, Myra Davis, both of Anna.

He was preceded in death by his father and both grandfathers.
