CHAFFEE -- Wesley Alan Coomer, 31, of Chaffee, drowned Tuesday, Sept. 3, 1991, in a pond near Advance. His son, Trenton Wesley Coomer, 7, also drowned.
Coomer was born Sept. 11, 1959, at Arbor, son of Robert Rufus and Alma Wondle Coomer. His parents, of Advance Route 1, survive.
He married Rhonda J. Wagoner June 17, 1981. She also survives.
Coomer was a relief operator at Spartech Plastics in Cape Girardeau.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Chaffee and was commander of the Royal Rangers of Chaffee.
Other survivors are a son, Trever Coomer, of the home; brothers, Russell and Robert Coomer, both of Advance Route 1, Dallas and Carmen Coomer, both of Cape Girardeau, Dennis Coomer, Chaffee, and Bill Coomer, Scott City; and sisters, Maryland Ostendorf, Cape Girardeau Route 1, Karen Scheer, Cape Girardeau, and Estelle Wolfe, Chaffee.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 2 p.m. Thursday.
Service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral chapel with the Rev. William Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
