SIKESTON -- Wes Gentry, 76, of St. Louis, died Tuesday, July 23, 1991, at St. Louis University Hospital.

He was born March 4, 1915, in Lonoke, Ark., son of Miles and Minnie Gentry. He married Louella Mae Newman Jan. 17, 1935, at Sikeston. She died Monday, July 22, 1991.

Gentry was a retired welder with Boilermaker International Local 27 in St. Louis.

Survivors include a son, Jeff Gentry of Alamogordo, N.M.; a brother, Earl Gentry of Pacific; a sister, Jewell Corbin of St. Louis; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel here. Hershell Newman will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery here.
