EAST CAPE GIRARDEAU, Ill. -- Webster W. Goodermote, 62, of East Cape Girardeau, died Monday, July 1, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born Aug. 5, 1928, in North Adams, Mass., son of Ira and Susan Clark Goodermote. He married Mary Summers.
Goodermote was a retired truck driver, member of St. Francis Catholic Church in North Adams, and Cairo VFW Post 2649. He served in the U.S. Army, and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was formerly of Mounds.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Marilyn Melton of Cache; a son, Michael Goodermote of Carterville; two grandchildren, Lisa and Raymond Melton of Cache.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Barkett Funeral Chapel in Cairo. The Rev. Don Ford will officiate, with burial in National Cemetery at Mound City.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
