KARNAK, Ill. -- Wayne "Red" Walker, 85, of Karnak, Ill., died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis, Ill.
He was born Oct. 31, 1915, in McClure, Ill., son of Elmer and Ethel Smith Walker. He married Flora Hill Walker 65 years ago.
Walker was a retired farmer and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Karnak. He also was a member of the Farm Bureau and Modern Woodman.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Angela Woodney of Karnak; a son, Kenneth Walker of Effingham, Ill.; a sister, Mary Lee Kuehn of Vandalia, Ill.; and a brother, Collin Walker of Dixon, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. today at the Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Ken Sharp will officiate, with burial in the Masonic Cemetery in Grand Chain, Ill.
