Wayne Vincent

ANNA, Ill. -- Wayne Vincent, 74, of Anna died Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, at the Union County Nursing Home in Anna.

He was born Dec. 14, 1930, in Wolf Lake, Ill., son of John "Peggy" and Gertrude Rosenthal Vincent. He and Betty Jean McClure were marrried Sept. 14, 1951, at Jonesboro, Ill.

He was general contractor, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Southern Illinois Contractors Association, First Baptist Church in Anna and VFW Post 3455.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Steve Vincent of Anna; two daughters, Cindy Tucker of Anna, Sandy Winchester of Missouri; two brothers, John Vincent of Muncie, Ind., Bill Vincent of Anna; a sister, Mary Ann Barnett of Cypress, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Cripps officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery, with military honors by an Army detachment from Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
