Wayne Owen Snell, 86, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Union County, Ill., died Saturday, Sept. 26, 1998 at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Services of Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 15, 1912, at Anna, Ill., son of James and Grace Keller Snell. He married Velma Elizabeth Knupp in Sanger, Calif.
Snell was a water well driller. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three brothers, Bill Snell of Potosi, and Kenneth and William Snell, both of Anna; and a sister, Violet Lence of Anna.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Steve Wilkinson will officiate. Burial, with full military honors by Anna VFW Post 3455, will be in the Anna Cemetery.
