ORAN, Mo. -- Wayne W. "Scrappy" Phillips, 75, of Oran died Monday, April 2, 2001, at his home.
He was born April 7, 1925, in Clarksville, Ark., son of Benjamin Patterson and Lena LeOra Pyron Phillips. He and Faye Masterson were married March 28, 1953. She died July 24, 1998.
Phillips retired as an auto mechanic at Cook's Garage. He was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church, St. Joseph Sodality, and former grand knight of Oran Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Phillips of Oran; two daughters, Gail Nenninger of Florissant, Mo., Lisa Phillips of Oran; a sister, Verdell Hooe of Pop City, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
There is no visitation.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Guardian Angel Church. The Rev. Lewis Hejna and Msgr. Richard Rolwing will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Oran is in charge of arrangements.
