JACKSON -- Funeral service for Wayne Marion Lewis of Jackson will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. The Revs. Scott Lohse and Don Covington will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-8 p.m. today.
Lewis, 65, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 1996, at his home.
He was born Nov. 7, 1931, at Desloge, son of George and Nellie Pierce Lewis. He and Marilyn E. Long were married Aug. 16, 1953.
Lewis was a graduate of Desloge High School and O'Fallon Technical School. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-55.
He was employed by Union Electric 35 years, retiring in 1992 and moving to Jackson from Union.
Lewis was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church, and was a volunteer at May Greene School.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Pamela Lewis of Dexter, Susan and Mary Ann Lewis of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Russell Hulsey of St. Louis, Bradford Lewis of Fenton; and three honorary grandchildren.
